Terms & project notices / October 5, 2026

Open source.
Clear terms.

These notices describe the informational website at playmcp.org and the linked open-source project. The project is maintained through the public GitHub repository. Public hosted MCP access remains in development; this website does not provide a Google sign-in, paid account or service-level commitment.

Software and website license

Original project code and website source are available under GNU GPL version 3 (GPL-3.0-only). You may use, study, modify and redistribute them under that license, including for commercial purposes. Preserve the applicable notices and meet the license's source-distribution requirements when they apply. These website notices do not replace or restrict rights granted by the GPL.

Contributors retain rights in their own contributions. Dependencies, provider definitions and third-party materials keep their applicable licenses and notices. See the repository's third-party notices and contribution terms.

Independent of Google

Play MCP is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google. Google, Google Play and Android are trademarks of Google LLC. Product names identify the services with which the project interoperates; they do not indicate a partnership or grant rights to those trademarks.

Your Google access and AI client

Use only accounts and app data that you are authorized to access. The software license does not grant Google API access or replace Google's API terms, Play agreements, quotas or your chosen AI client's terms. Read the privacy information before connecting private data.

Examples on this website use synthetic data. AI-generated interpretations can be inaccurate; check source results and current Google Play status before acting. Planned features and public hosting are not available merely because they appear in a roadmap.

Availability and warranty

The software's warranty and liability provisions are in its GPL license, including sections 15 and 16. This website and its informational content are provided as available, without a separate promise of uninterrupted service, support or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing here excludes rights or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Corrections, rights concerns and changes

Use website issues for public corrections. For a private rights-related inquiry, use the contact route on vorobyov.me. Report vulnerabilities through GitHub private vulnerability reporting. Do not post credentials or private app data publicly.

The dated version of these notices and its history are available in the source repository. Updates to this page do not retroactively withdraw open-source rights already granted. Any future hosted service will need its own accurate operator, privacy and service disclosures before launch.
